Class 1 : Introduction

We got to know our students and each other.

1. We went over questions like 'Why study Mahabharata?' and 'What are the Goals of this class?'

2. We also went over the typical class format - which will consist of Opening prayers, Story segment, Analysis, Discussion, Reflection, Gita Chapter 12 chanting, RAW or reflection adventure of the week, Closing prayers.

3. We talked about the origin of Mahabharata; The composer Rishi Vyasa and the scribe Ganesha.

4. We introduced the story setting, variety of characters, & time period.
