Class 12 : Summary
RAW review: I SPY ... Sacrifice: We talked about small acts of sacrifice by our family members that benefit the whole family, the sacrifices of some people in noble professions. We also discussed how sacrifice brings us joy and not sorrow.
Story: We narrated story of Draupadi's swayamvar, Arjuna's prowess, Kunti's words and Vyasa's explanation of Draupadi's karma and previous life, and the marriage of all 5 brothers with Draupadi. We talked about Hastinapura's political choices and eventual return of Pandavas to Hastinapura and obtaining half of the Kingdom. We also talked about Pandavas powerful alliances with Drupada and Krishna.
Reflections: We analyzed the characters of Arjuna, Draupadi, Duryodhana/Dhritarashtra and Pandavas being restored in status and honor due to their marriage with Draupadi and alliance with Drupada and Krishna.
RAW: Strategic Alliances: Kids are to come up with examples of games (board games, card games, school yard games, video games, TV game shows etc) where building an alliance with other players is important to win. We will relate this back to real world where nations, corporations, political parties etc build alliances to corner their threats and overcome obstacles.
