Class 18 : Summary
RAW review: Take a stand - We talked about taking a stand on issues; how inaction is harmful and keeps you stuck in a vicious cycle of regret, anxiety and helplessness. Right knowledge is key in having the ability to judge right from wrong. We reinforced that the responsibility is on us to get the right knowledge and develop the right kind of thinking. Our scriptures and BG are an excellent guide in determining dharma vs adharma.
Story: We reviewed part of story from last week and concluded Sabha Parva. We moved on to Vana Parva and talked about how the Pandavas spent time in exile, Arjuna's tapas, blessings from Lord Shiva and various Gods and his training in celestial weapons in Indraloka. Also talked about Bhima and Hanuman's meeting and his special blessings to the Pandavas.
Reflections: We reflected on how Pandavas used their time in exile in preparation and training for the future.
RAW: Value of Preparation: Students are asked to think about value of preparation in achieving a goal. Students should reflect on various levels of preparation - physical, mental, intellectual.
Bhagavad Gita Chapter 12: We learnt to chant shlokas 14 & 15.
